Elgin C. Hawthorne Rusk
Elgin C. Hawthorne Rusk, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 15, 2011. She was born September 30, 1920 in Dry Prong, LA. To William and Georgia Mott. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Bobby Moore officiating. Visitation will be at 9 AM prior to the service. Elgin was known as Jean to her family and friends. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Henderson. She loved to crochet and travel, and she enjoyed crafting and reading. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mrs. Rusk was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Dick and Kenneth Mott; her sister, Nelda Cochran; her first husband of 49 years, Felton Hawthorne; her second husband of 17 Years, Harold Rusk. She is survived by her sons, Justin Hawthorne and his wife Wyoma, and Darwin Hawthorne and his wife Angela; grandchildren, Tracy Hyma, Travis Hawthorne, Tamara Ward; great grandchildren, Ethan Hyma, Abigail Hyma; brothers, Don Mott, and Jerry Mott and his wife Bonnie Fern. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
