Eldon W. BoswellFuneral services for Eldon W. Boswell, 90, of Longview will be held at Two O'clock pm Friday April 11, 2008 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road with Chaplain David Reeder and Reverend Dick Stagner officiating. Interment will follow at White Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Boswell passed away Wednesday April 9, 2008 in Longview.He was born November 17, 1917 in Paris, Texas to Lake and Ethel Mathis Boswell. He was a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for several different companies through the years including Humble and East Texas Lab. He was a Veteran of World War II having served as a pilot in the U. S. Navy. He was also a volunteer for many functions at the Longview Senior Center on Green Street, he was a dance instructor, teaching square, round and line-dancing.He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Lynn "Pat" Boswell of Longview, granddaughter, Mary Susan Vandermeer of Cleburne, TX., great-granddaughter, Penelope Rain Corbin, brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Velma "Vee" Boswell of New Bern, N.C.; four half-brothers, Burl Boswell and Doug Boswell both of Shreveport, LA.; Mike Boswell of Paris, TX.; Paul Boswell of Arkansas; three half-sisters, Barbara Cox of Ringgold, GA.; Linda Boswell of Washington, D. C., Ruth Boswell of Florida, and a number of nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Boswell, Parents, three brothers, J. D. Boswell, Jack Boswell and Gene Boswell.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday April 11, 2008 from 1pm until service time at 2 pm.Memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Association or Texas Home Health Hospice.
