Graveside services for Elbert P. ?Scrib? Scribner, 89, of Longview, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007, at Rosewood Park.  Interment will follow in Rosewood Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.  He passed away Tuesday, June 5, in a Longview nursing facility.
Mr. Scribner was born May 8, 1918 in Oklahoma to George and Nellie Scribner and had been a resident of Longview for the past 33 years, moving from Jacksonville, FL.  He was a WWII Veteran of the U. S. Navy and was retired from the U. S. Naval Reserve.  He was a retired civilian employee of the U. S. Navy where he was an aircraft mechanic supervisor.  He was member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite for over 60 years.  Mr. Scribner was a member of the First Christian Church of Longview.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 59 years, Mary Camp Scribner.
Those left to cherish his memory are his niece, Sandra Richardson and husband O?Dell of Ft. Worth and his nephews, Gary Camp and wife, Mary of Daingerfield and Buddy Scribner and wife Marilyn of Ft. Worth; sister-in-law, Minnie Scribner of Ft. Worth; several great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
