Edwina L. Rachels Harvey's Obituary
Edwina L Rachels Harvey 93 of Longview born November 1, 1928, in Edgewood, IL passed June 1, 2022.
Edwina was employed by Eisner grocery in Champaign IL where she retired after 25 years. She met and married James F Rachels Sr. and they were married 35 years before his passing.
After moving to Texas, she later met and married Orlen Harvey. They remained married for 25 years before his passing.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Delmer and Clarice Prather, husband James Rachels Sr, son James Rachels Jr and husband Orlen Harvey.
Edwina is survived by Sister Elaine and Jack Engle of Spokane, WA. Son Warren Rachels of Gilmer, daughter Susan Proctor of Longview, son Alvin Rachels of Wichita Falls. TX. Edwina had 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd, Longview, TX, Sunday June 5th from 2-5 pm.
Funeral services will be Monday June 6 at 10am at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, with burial following at Rosewood Cemetery on FM 1844, Longview. An online memorial book may be signed at the funeral home website, www.raderfh.com.
