Jan, Jacque, and family,
Richard and I were sad when we learned of Mr. Thaxton's passing.
I remember all of the fun times we had over the years. Your Mom and Dad's home was always open to all of our friends. Slumber parties, seances, and smoking little cigars. (Jan), not Jacque!
Ed was a wonderful man who loved his family and Volkswagens!
He left a legacy " love for life."

I can still see us as children every Sunday evening... playing together... reading comics... listening to our parents playing records of the big bands. Your parents were my second parents. I will miss them now that Ed is with his Jean. We are family.

I am so sorry to hear this news about your loss of your father! I fondly remember the many years we enjoyed being your "backyard neighbors" before heading off to college. Your Mom and Dad were wonderful folks!!
