Edward M. Jones
Ed Jones, 64, died Tuesday, April 4th at his residence in Longview. Originally from Wales, Ed spent many years traveling the world as plant manager for Continental Can. He came to the US in 1993 where he married and made the US his second home. He lived for many years in Shreveport, LA and spent several years in Hos Springs, AR before moving to Longview, but maintained his links with Wales and was very proud of his Celtic Heritage.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janet Fleming Jones and "the light of his life" grandson Gabe Fleming of Longview who he raised for the past 3 years. He also leaves behind his cherished daughters Nerys Pagan-Jones and Karen Rutter; 4 grandchildren; a sister, Nerys Egerton and brother, David Jones of England; 2 step-daughters, Jeanna Nix of Haughton and Melissa Fleming of Keithville and 4 grandchildren in the US.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Rader Funeral Home with a Memorial Service to follow. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to his nurse Robin and staff a HeartsWay Hospice.
