Edward "Eddie" Winston Patton's Obituary
Edward Winston Patton, better known as “Eddie”, 58 passed away November 6, 2018 at Christus Good Shepherd Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on December 31, 1960, in Tyler, Texas.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel Longview with Pastor Nathan Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday prior to the service.
He was a man that wore many hats, he served as an honorary father, uncle, caretaker and best friend to many and was a blessing to all. He loved his family and friends unconditionally and was always there to lend a hand. Eddie enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and spending time with loved ones. He will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Patton, a brother, Billy Don Patton, a niece, Nichole Patton Griffin, Grandparents, Winston and Mattie Fleming and Freeman and Icie Patton.
He is survived by his mother, Jane Powell and husband Gene, sister, Gayle Kirkland and husband David, niece and nephews, Paige Palmer and husband Jacob, Donald Patton and wife Allison, Matt Patton and wife Amanda, Chris Malone and wife Joyce, extended family of David Powell and wife Donna, Jeannene Stone and husband Jeff, Mark Powell and wife Debbie, six great nieces, a great nephew and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Asbury House Child Enrichment Center, 320 S. Center Street, Longview, Texas 75601 or a charity of your choice in memory of Eddie Patton.
