Edna Lorene Weatherford's Obituary
Edna Lorene Weatherford, born March 23, 1925 in Eram, OK and she passed away January 13, 2016 in Longview, TX. She attended school in Snowmac and Wolf, OK. Upon graduation, Lorene met and married Elmer Weatherford on November 11, 1941.
During their 44 years of marriage they had three children, Son Bobby and daughter; Carol Jean Hines and Sandra Kay Green. Both daughters preceded her in death due to cancer. Bobby and his wife Ruthie of Bastrop, LA remain to carry on her love for her grandchildren; Staci, Misty, Connie and Michael Green.
Lorene retired from Supervisory position from Thiokol Munitions Plant in Karnack, TX. She also enjoyed being a volunteer for Good Shepard Medical Center Women’s Auxiliary. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer, along with her parents, John and Eda Mae Graves. Brothers; John Arthur and Charles “Pete” Graves. Three sisters; Rebecca and Melba Graves as well as Pauline Sparks and Geneva Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory are brother and sisters Frank Graves of White Oak, Ruth Middleton of Houston, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family wishes to thank Jesslynn Blackston for her tireless loving care for our mother and making her final days much happier. We wish to remember Hearts Way Hospice and Summer Meadows Nursing Facility of Longview, TX
Graveside services for Edna Lorene Weatherford will be held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10am.
