What a blessing for us to have EG as our nextdoor neighbor for the last 20 years.

As neighbors we occasionally shared a dinner and homemade dessert together.
Some evenings we would visit in our driveways or on her back porch with a glass of tea.
At Christmastime she would share a small gift that she made by embroidery or her special gift of sewing. I treasure all those little gifts she gave.

She was such a wonderful lady and friend .....
We miss her -especially the affectionate names she called us such as "Sug".
There will never be another Sweet Lady like EG.

EG was a beautiful, classy mother to four gorgeous girls. When as boyfriends or ball players we would sit in EG’s kitchen, the girls would all get mad at us for not wanting to leave to take them out on our dates. She was a mom to the whole town. She encouraged us, laughed at our jokes, and cooked wonderful holiday food. She modeled how a modern woman could successfully work outside the home and be a fashionable housewife, mother and homemaker. She set a high standard for her daughters and it paid off. Look at the women they have become.
I will always remember her contagious laughter...if she laughed ...you would, too.
What a gift!
My love and sympathy to all the girls. Your mom was truly one of a kind. We’ll miss her, too. Love to all.

I too worked with EG at LSS. She was much loved by everyone. I remember the good food she brought to our little personnel department parties. And she was the life of the party! I am so sorry for your loss, but I know she will live on in your hearts forever.

I’m sorry if I’m out of line. But I was going through the obituaries looking for my loved one. I came across her and I read it! And she sounds like the most amazingly sweet and fun loving lady ever!!! I would have been blessed if I could have meet her!!!! I’m so sorry for your loss. I know no matter how many sweet words and comments could ever explain and fill the love she radiated. I just wanted to send my love and prayers you y’all all. And I know y’all all is bad English lol. But hey I’m from east Texas we make our own talk but I do send my love and prayers. And she sounded like a amazing lady!!!!!!!!!!

To EG’s girls-You did have one of the most classiest, best natured and best of the best...she was one of my favorite bosses to work for. Her laughter was contagious and if someone asked what shoe size she wore, well I am sure you know the answer! Loved that lady. Thoughts and prayers to all of you

My heart goes out to E.G.’s family. So sorry for your loss. I, too, worked at LSS while she was there. Everything she did was with “class” and you girls had to inherit those traits. E.G. was loved by many. I know she will be missed by many as well

I had the privilege of working with EG back when LSS split into different companies. She was everything you said about her and more. I love that she was one of the classiest ladies I have had the honor of working with. The thought of EG Thompson will always put a smile on my face.
