Edna Mae Stainback's Obituary
A memorial service for Edna Mae Steele Stainback, 96, of Tyler, formerly of Longview will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Roy Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Summerfield Cemetery in Longview. Mrs. Stainback passed away Saturday night in Tyler.
Edna was born on July 21, 1916 in Crosby County Texas to Grover and Mellie Steele. She worked for 35 years at the First National Bank in Longview where she was a Head Bank Teller and Bookkeeper.
She was preceded in death by her previous husbands, Hub Clements, A.V. Smith, and Russel Herbert; her parents; 2 brothers; 1 sister and a niece.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, O.J. Stainback of Tyler; her step-daughter Elizabeth Ann Knight of Troup, TX; her step-son Dana Alan Stainback of Chandler, TX; her step-son Johnny Clements of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews.
