Edna Jeanette Patterson's Obituary
Edna Jeanette Wilson Patterson of Longview, Tx. went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Oct. 12, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2005 at Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the reverends Larry Tyler and Mark Horner officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Patterson was born to Samuel W. and May Dee Owens Wilson on January 2, 1913 in Humble, Texas. She went to high school in Dallas, Tx. She was a loving wife to Frank E. Patterson and sweet, loving mother to Mary Loye McAlister, Don Patterson, Diane Patterson, Helen Bivin, and Linda Patterson. She had one son-in-law, Ed McAlister. Her parents, her brothers ?Atchel? and John Dee Wilson, and her husband Frank Evan Patterson preceded Mrs. Patterson in death. Her 5 children, 7 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren survive her.
She was a long-time member of the First Cumberland Church in Longview. Edna enjoyed being surrounded by her family while laughing and smiling all the time. She was an avid bridge player and music lover.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the wonderfully loving and caring people of Hearts Way Hospice and Texas Home Health for their help and support during Edna?s last years. Special thanks to Sandra Matthews, Joyce Brown, and to the neighbors in the Robertson household. Also Kay, Barbara, Gloria, Amanda, Nikki and Larry of Heartsway Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to the Hearts Way Hospice of North East Texas, 1306 Pine Tree Rd, Longview, Texas 75604.
Pallbearers are grandsons Bill Bivin and Steve Stanley, great grandsons Michael and Clint Pepper, and nephews Phil Patterson and Mark Muegge.
The family will receive friends at 6:30-8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2005, at Rader Funeral Home.
