Graveside Services for Edith McIlroy Harris, formerly of Longview will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at Memory Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Edith McIlroy Harris was born in Tolar, Texas, the daughter of Henry S. and Martha Ellen McIlroy. After her graduation from Texas Christian university in Fort Worth, Texas, she moved to East Texas, where she met and married her husband, Hiram Jeffrey Harris. The two were long time residents of Longview, where Mr. Harris was the owner of Harris Olds-Cadillac. He died December 18, 1990.
Edith is survived by her brother, Winfield McIlroy and his wife Peggy of Sun City, Arizona, nieces and nephews, Guy Wayne Lackey and wife Jean of Grandbury, Texas, Roy Lackey and wife Wanda of College Station, Texas, Winnie Taylor and her husband, Charles of Fort Worth, Texas, Suzanne Gregg of San Jose, California, Jean Rogers and her husband, Richard of Marble Falls, Texas, and the children of the late Sandra Armer.
Mrs. Harris had spent her last years in the Hill Country on Lake L.B.J.
She will be missed by her family and thanked for her many acts of kindness and affection throughout the years.
