Edith Martin's Obituary
Edith Martin of Longview Texas went to be with her Lord on March 4, 2016 at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas TX, surrounded by her family. A ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 9th, 2016 at 2pm; A rosary will be held Thirty minutes prior to the start of the service.
Edith was born on June 25, 2003 in Longview TX to parents Virginia and Alejandro Martin. She was a student at Valley View and J.L. Everhart Elementary Schools, and most recently Forest Park Middle School where she was on the AB Honor Roll and had perfect attendance. Edith valued every moment of her life, but cherished all the time that she had with her family and friends bringing a light to their lives and making them laugh. In addition to spending time with people, Edith loved animals and flowers; also listening to her favorite music artist Twenty One Pilots, reading books and cooking.
Edith was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Martin; grandparents Herminio Martin Santiago and Ma̱ del Pilar Basilio Samorano; great-grandparents; and her cousin Cynthia. Those left to cherish their memories of Edith include her parents, Virginia and Alejandro; brothers, Alex and Oscar Martin; grandparents, Juana and Concepcion Rodriguez; Aunts and Uncles, Roberto, Carmen, Herminio, Jose, Pilar, Andres, and David Martin B., as well as numerous extended members of the Martin Family; the Castillo Family, and the Rodriguez Family. She will also be remembered by the numerous friends whose lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice in Edith’s name.
