Mrs. Edith Landinger, “Edie” to all who knew her, passed into the arms of Jesus, at home and surrounded by her family on October 28, 2023.
Funeral services for Edie will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church of Longview. A brief visitation before the funeral will begin at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview, TX.
Edie was born on a small farm in Greenwood, WI on June 17, 1938, to Melvin and Verna Schoeneck. Fearless and full of life, Edie moved to many states, touching the lives of everyone she met. Along the way, Edie pursued several interests including real estate, painting and raising Champion Collies and Pomeranians. However, despite her abilities and accomplishments, she was best known for being a mom to any person or creature fortunate enough to find her. Her deep love, compassion, and empathy for all will leave a lasting impact on this world.
Edie was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 65 years, Carl Landinger Sr.; children Carl Landinger Jr., David Landinger and Karen Landinger Brosien, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. However, all who met her will feel a loss of joy, comfort, and kindness. Please join us in celebrating her eternal love.
