Funeral services for Edith Jones, 92, of Lake O the Pines, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2005 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview with the Reverend Gerald Henson officiating. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery in Lone Star, TX. She passed away Friday at her residence.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Miss Jones was born January 10, 1913 in Oklahoma to David Calvin and Ophia Dae Jones, and had been a resident of the Lake O? the Pines since 1986, moving from Sand Springs, OK. She attended Bethany College in Oklahoma City, and was a home health care giver. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Longview.
Those left to cherish her memory are 3 nieces and 1 nephew, whom she raised as her own; Donna Sturm of Lake O? The Pines, Jeffery Jones and wife Rosa Marie and Cathey Robinson and husband Doug of Longview, and Linda Jones of Hallsville; 9 grandchildren; sister, Sibyl Guynn of Lake O? The Pines; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
