Edith "Edie" Helen (Carter) Adams' Obituary
Edith ‘Edie’ Helen (Carter) Adams (91) left this world on November 7, 2017 at Woodhaven Village Senior Living in Conroe, Texas. She died from complications of a fall suffered on October 14, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Carlton W. Adams and is survived by her son Carlton W. Adams Jr., two grandchildren, Michelle S. Errington and Carlton (Trey) W. Adams III, five great-grandchildren, and her sister Emily Bolechowski.
Born on August 10, 1926 in Berryville, Arkansas, Edie was one of six children of Stanley Edwin and Irene Ethel (Lindsey) Carter. She graduated from East Mountain High School in Gladewater, Texas in 1942.
In addition to being a loving mother and devoted wife, she was a secretary, administrative assistant or office manager in every city where her family lived in south Texas and south Louisiana. She retired from ExxonMobil in 1984 and she and her husband returned to their roots in East Texas.
Edie was a loving, caring, giving person and totally devoted to her family and friends. She was active in the Churches of Christ wherever she lived; she was a volunteer at Longview Regional Hospital in Longview, Texas for more than 20 years.

Graveside Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Rosewood Park Cemetery in Longview Texas. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, Longview, TX.
