Edgar Kernan Kleffman's Obituary
Services for Edgar Kernan Kleffman, 87, of Longview, will be held at 10 AM Monday, July 30, 2012 at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 2800 Pine Tree Road, with Rev. Monsignor Xavier Pappu officiating. A Rosary will be recited Sunday afternoon at 4 PM in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with visitation following from 4:30-6 PM.
Mr. Kleffman was born January 25, 1925 in Hibbing, Minnesota and died on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in Longview, Texas after a lengthy illness. He had been a resident of Longview for the past forty years and was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. He is a Veteran of the US Air Force, graduated from Notre Dame University where he lettered in golf, and is the father if 5 girls.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar William and Ruby Kernan Kleffman; his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Schemmel Kleffman; and infant son, Edgar William Kleffman.
He is survived by his 5 daughters, Betsy Allen of Keller, TX, Kathy and Bob Walton of Longview, Carol Parker of Shreveport, LA, Kay and Gary Spurgeon of Diana, TX, and Sarah and Robert Brenner of Longview; 7 grandchildren, Melissa Saulsbury, Billy Allen, Kim McCaughan, Carrie Carlton, Justin Parker, Kaitlyn Brenner, and Keith Brenner; and 6 great grandchildren, Garrett and Ashley Farmer, Brennan and Addie Allen, Olivia and Georgia McCaughan, and Baby Parker on the way.
