Ed Huckabee's Obituary
Graveside services for Ed Huckabee, 79, of Longview, will be 10 AM Thursday, September 27, 2007 in Rock Springs Cemetery, with Reverend Tom Roberson officiating. Interment will follow.
Mr. Huckabee was born February 6, 1928 in Shreveport, LA to Dutch and Jesse Huckabee.
Ed had been a resident of Longview since 1950. He was a steelworker for Green Steel Company and member of the Oakland Heights Baptist Church. His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son,
Kent Huckabee. Surviving Mr. Huckabee is his loving
wife, Helen Ruth Huckabee of Longview; daughters,
Brenda Cotton and husband, Jeff, of Shreveport, LA,
Debbie Green and husband, Gary, of Longview;
daughter-in-law, Jeannie Huckabee of Gilmer; seven
grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Also surviving are sister, Doris Miller of Tampa, FL., brother, Glenn Huckabee of Hull, TX. and several
nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home
Wednesday evening from 4-8 PM.
