Earnest Hamilton Latham's Obituary
Earnest "H.E.” Latham, 83, of the Stewart Community in Henderson, passed away after a lengthy illness, Saturday November 22, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Latham was born October 31, 1931, in Gum Springs Community to Walter Latham and Martha Monroe and attended Hallsville Schools. A Korean War veteran, he served in the Army as a Tank Sergeant from 1952 to 1960 earning several medals. He and his wife Linda, were married 59 years. An active family man he enjoyed biking, playing basketball, and coaching little league baseball. He also loved fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Latham was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Tessie Wilburn, William Latham, Ethel Clark, OmaleaHamilton, Louise Clark and Monroe Latham.
Survivors include his wife Linda, daughters and sons-in-law; Cindy and David Robicheaux of Cypress, TX, Pam And Charlie Martin of Diana, TX, son; Steve Latham of Longview, TX, grandchildren: Cole Latham, Don Martin, John Martin, and Jessica Robicheaux.
Graveside services will be held 10:00a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Stewart Cemetery, presided by Ross Worley. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Visitation will be 6-8 Tuesday night Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to American Lung Association, Dallas, Texas.
