Visitation services for Earnest C. Doke, 86, of Ore City will be held on Saturday July 18, 2009 from 10:00 AM until 1 PM at Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road. Cremation services will be under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Doke passed away Tuesday July 14, 2009 in Ore City.
A native of Arkansas , he was born August 31, 1922 in Clarksville. He was a veteran of World War II, and a hard working man, good father. He retired from National Lock in Rockford, Illinois after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Rosa Patton Doke, his wife Eve Rosena Doke, daughter, Linda Hunter, brother, O. D. Doke, sisters, Daisey and Juanita.
He is survived by his sons, Earnest E.and Henry Herschel Doke, daughter, Geri Peck, sisters, Sue Palmer and Pauline Chappel, brother, J. C. Doke, 13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
