Earline Steele Carter's Obituary
Earline Steele Carter was born July 16, 1923 at home near Pittsburg in Camp County Texas to Thomas Howard and Mineola Harris Steele. She passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in Longview, Texas surrounded by her three children. Earline was a long time employee and bank officer at the former First State Bank of Hallsville, TX. She lived in Hallsville for 56 years and her final four years in Assisted Living in Longview. Services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 with visitation at 10:00am and a funeral will follow at 11:00am at Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Thomas Edward Steele and Fred Taylor Steele; sister Joan Durrett; and grandson Jon Garrett Jackson; husbands E. W. Enzer Jr. and Richard E. Carter.
Earline is survived by son John Taylor Wiley and wife Linda of Rockport TX, daughter Carolyn Brady and husband Ted of McKinney, TX, and daughter Ernie Motley and husband David of Longview TX; sisters Lois Barnes of Tyler, TX Joy Mauldin and husband James of Hallsville, TX, and June Bynum of Winnsboro, TX; one granddaughter, four grandsons, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank HeartsWay Hospice, Heartis Assisted Living, and Texas Home Health for their special care.
