Earl Sweeney's Obituary
Funeral services for Earl Sweeney, 50, of Gilmer will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Sweeney passed away Friday evening in a local hospital. Burial will follow at Paris Cemetery in Paris, Kentucky at a later date. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Earl was born on December 30, 1962 in Longview to Bill and Jeanne Sweeney. He loved all types of flowers and adored Christmas. Earl was unfailingly polite and had many wonderful friends. He loved watching the Price is Right and HeeHaw but one of his favorite things to do was to make a list and go shopping. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Kim Sweeney and Lain Sweeney; his brother-in-law John Van Meter; his niece Kathy Teeter and her husband Ron; and many many friends.
