Earl C. McAlpine
Graveside services for Earl C. McAlpine, 89, of Longview, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Scott Schulik officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. McAlpine passed away Friday, October 23 at his residence in Longview.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. McAlpine was born January 30, 1915 in Crandall, Texas, to Ernest and Irene McAlpine. He had been a resident of Longview for most of his life. He was a carpenter, and worked in the homebuilding industry. He was a member of the Local Carpenters Union #1097, and the V.F.W. Post #4002.
Mr. McAlpine was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Ernest McAlpine.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 70 years, Irene McAlpine of Longview; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue Moore of Longview, Vickie and Johnny Cantin of Vicksburg, MS., and Judy and Dan Catlin of Pittsburg, TX.; grandchildren, Jerry Hollis, Angie Hollis, Bobby Hunter, Kellie Hunter, and Nicole Kimberlin; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter.
