E. Ray Green's Obituary
Graveside services for E. Ray Green, 82, of Dallas, will be held at 2:30 PM
Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Lakewood Memorial Park in Henderson with the Rev. Robert Hall officiating. Rader Funeral Home of Henderson in charge
of arrangements.
Mr. Green died Feb. 7. 2007 in, Dallas. He was born Jan. 15, 1925, in Henderson to Armine and Blanch Matlock Green. He attended Henderson Schools graduating in 1942. He attended Kilgore College one year before serving in the Army during World War II. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in art in 1949 and his Master of Science degree in art in 1954, both from Stephen F. Austin University, Nacogdoches.
Ray began teaching art at Rusk Middle School in Dallas and continued until his retirement. He was a member of the following organizations:
Sons of the Republic of Texas, Sons of the American Revolution,
General Society of the War of 1812, Sons of the Confederate Veterans,
American Camellia Society, TSTA and NEA.
He was preceded in death by: his father Armine Green, mother Blanche
Green; and older brother, Armine Rex Green.
He survived by: sister Gwendolyn Tauzin of Garland, brother and wife
Allen Burke Green and Jean F. Green of Henderson; and several
nieces and newphews.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
