Dwayne Pifer Crews' Obituary
Memorial services for Dwayne P. Crews of Longview will be at the Winterfield United Methodist Church on Saturday October 16, 2010 at 11 a.m., the family will receive friends after the service.
Dwayne P. Crews, born in Sevier County, Arkansas on December 21, 1930 went to be with the Lord, September 19, 2010 at the age of 79. He was the son of P.C. and Verna Crews.
Dwayne served in the 1st Armored Division in Ft. Hood, Texas and with the Korean Military Advisory Group in Korea. He retired form Norris Cylinder Company. He was an active member of Winterfield United Methodist Church, Winmore Sunday School class, and the Sterling Club. He was also a volunteer for LCM Meals on Wheels in Longview.
Dwayne enjoyed working on projects at home, reading, traveling, and being with family and friends. Dwayne was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. He is survived by the love of his life, Margaret, of 58 years; daughters and sons-in-law, Claire and Ronnie Burson of Edmond, Oklahoma, Dwaina and Doug Busch of Gilmer, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Shirley Crews of Youngsville, Louisiana; grandchildren, Ryan and Alexis Burson, Eric Burson, Stephanie and Francisco Zamarripa, Alicia and Brian Carpenter, Brandon Crews, Todd and Wendy Busch and Trent Busch; seven great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Les Pogue of Kuttawa, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
