Drew Stratton 's Obituary
Drew Stratton was born January 9, 1986 and passed away unexpectedly January 9, 2014.
Drew grew up, wrestled, participated in karate, and rode bicycles in Orland Park, Illinois and Longview, Texas. He was a pitcher for Pine Tree High School and graduated in 2004. He attended Kilgore Junior College and then graduated from the University of Texas in Austin where he studied microbiology. He completed a post-graduate degree in Clinical Lab Sciences and felt called to use his knowledge to help others heal. Drew snowmobiled to the Great Divide, learned to knit, studied the bible, loved his family, and embraced his role and relished his title of Uncle.
Drew is survived by his parents: Sharon Stratton and Sue and Scott Stratton; by his grandparents: Dorothy and Roy Coones and Esther Stratton; by his brother Noah, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, niece Lucy, and many other family and friends.
A private family service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
