Ms. Archer and family,
We were saddened to learn of Mr. Archer's homegoing and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Last saw you when TO MY DELIGHT you both attended a birthday celebration we had for Mother in Marshall in 1998. You two have just been a beautiful inspiration to SO many through the years. I thank you for that, and know The Lord will give you strength in the coming days.

It was with a mixture of sadness and joy that we heard of Dr. Elton's homegoing. He looked so troubled and weak when we visited on Tues. the 30th. We have been praying for Lorene and all of you children as you asked us to.. God bless you all.

What I treasured most about Elton and Lorene Archer, was seeing them together. Their love for each other, always stood out. They were always bubbly, extremely friendly , smiling, laughing, and enjoying life. They never failed to show interest, in the lives of others. What a blessing Elton's Memorial Service was to me today. When the family walked out of the sanctuary , after the service, several of them had the most beautiful smile on their face, and they continued to sing ''Victory in Jesus''. What a testamony that was! Elton left them in Peace instead of in Pain, for they knew where he was going. What greater gift, can a man, give his family, as he leaves this world? Lorene, Thank you for your smiling face in my life, and in the life of my daughter, Tammy Kelsey Skinner. How she enjoyed you and Elton when you attended senior citizen activities at the Longview Mall. With love and prayers to Lorene and her Family, Ann Kelsey##imported-begin##Ann Ames Kelsey##imported-end##

Lorene and children,
How wonderful it was for Susanne and me to honor and remember one of my educational heroes, Elton Archer, at the service today. He was the most influential and motivational educator of my LeTourneau experience, and what a privilege to know his family. We will all miss Elton. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.##imported-begin##Ariel and Susanne Rosentrater##imported-end##
Dr. Elton Archer left a legacy of hope and determination. He gave back to the community where he lived, always encouraging others to high expectations and recognizing accomplishments of others. What an honor to have known this great educator and his wife, Lorene, and their family. Your influence will live on in the lives of others you touched. My prayers are with all of you.
