Dorthiel Griggs Faulkner's Obituary
Graveside services for Dorthiel Griggs Faulkner, 86, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview with Rev. Oscar Lee Smart officiating. Mrs. Faulkner passed away Saturday evening in a local nursing home. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Dorthiel was born on June 28, 1928 in Hugo, Oklahoma to James and Jeroline Neese. She worked for Southwestern Bell for 25 years and a member of Central Baptist Church. She loved to garden and do crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Johnny Smart; and her sister, Pauline Walker.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law Ernest and Frances Griggs of Princeton, TX; her daughter Dottie Beard of Longview; her brother, Oscar Lee Smart; her sister Genetia Banks; her grandchildren James Richard “Jay” Pierson, Slade Beard, and Elisha Griggs Hudson; and numerous great grandkids, nieces and nephews.
