Funeral services for Dorothy F. Weakley, 85 of Longview, will be held in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 15 at 10am. The family would like to greet friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 6-8pm. Dorothy went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 11, 2015.
Dorothy was born on August 26, 1929 in Hemphill TX to parents Harvey and Fannie Walker. She married the love of her life Louis D. Weakley and started their family. In addition to enjoying shopping, Dorothy was also a prayer warrior for Longview First Assembly where she was a member of for over 25 years. In addition to having a great love for Christ, Dorothy also had a great love for family. Many times she would be seen spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by both of her parents, as well as her husband, Louis Weakley, as well as her son, Robert L. Weakley. Those left to cherish Dorothy’s life include her daughter Shirley Haywood; 3 Grandchildren, James, Lee, and Sunshine; and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
