Dorothy Irene Stinson's Obituary
Dorothy Irene Stinson age 82 of Longview passed away April 7, 2018. She was born April 28, 1935 in Colmesneil, TX to William and Emma Dominy. She grew up in the Egypt community in Tyler County attending local schools and graduated of Colmesneil High School. Dorothy met Doyle Lee Stinson and later they were married on February 23, 1955. Together they raised 5 children. Dorothy enjoyed sewing and crocheting for family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish Dorothy’s memory are her four children Linda Allen and her husband Donald of Vidor, TX, Wanda Oney of Longview, TX, Shirl Lee and her husband Royce of Flint, TX and Kenneth Stinson; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family. She will be sorely missed.
Dorothy’s parents, siblings, husband of 27 years, Doyle Lee Stinson, son Donald Lee Stinson, grandson Timothy Donald Allen and great-grandson Cameron Mitchell all precede her in passing.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 14, 2018 starting at 10am at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Interment will follow that day at 3pm in Appleby Cemetery at Bethel Baptist Church in Nacogdoches, TX. Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of viewing Friday, April 13, 2018 from 5pm-8pm at Rader Funeral Home.
