Obituary for Mrs. Dorothy Kay Holder Roberts
Services for Mrs. Dorothy Kay Holder Roberts, 73, of Longview will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Gilmer City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Roberts passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014 in Longview, Texas.
She was born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico eventually moving to Texas. She loved horseback riding, cooking, crocheting, gardening, and enjoyed wild life, and visiting with friends and family. She operated her business D H Roberts Oil & Gas Properties. She was a loving and giving person who will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Erminia Holder, brother William Holder, and husband Richard C. Roberts.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her daughter Karen Roberts; sons: Darrell Roberts and Keith Roberts; granddaughter Carissa Brown and husband Chris; great granddaughter Kaylee Brown; sisters: Betty Hackler and husband Tom, Faith Paddock and husband John, Mary Stahle and husband Den; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all of the medical personnel for the wonderful care they gave Mrs. Roberts during her last days with us.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of Northeast Texas.
