Dorothy Prince's Obituary
Dorothy Fay (Hasten) Prince, age 90, went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2019 at Haven Care Nursing Home in Longview. She is rejoicing in Heaven with her parents, William and Annie Mae Hasten, and her two daughters, Theodora (Teddy) Prince and Faye Ann White.
Dorothy was born on May 24, 1928 in Mineola, Texas to William Rufus and Annie Mae (Hoskins) Hasten. Dorothy, known as Nanny, to her grandchildren, was a devoted and loving mother, sister, daughter, and grandmother. She attended grade school in Hainesville, Texas, and attended High School in Mineola, Texas. Her love for her family was profound and was evident through the degree of her actions. Dorothy raised three daughters by working long hours as a seamstress and was the sole caretaker of her elderly mother later in life. Sacrificing for her family was a motif expressed throughout her life. Most importantly, Dorothy was a Christian that loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her sister, Dolly Krodell and husband Floyd of Garland, Texas; her daughter, Peggy Collins and husband Jimmy of Longview, Texas; grandchildren Chris Rogers of Longview, John Collins and wife Mary of Schertz, Texas, Matthew Collins and Justin Collins of Longview; great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Lorelei Collins of Schertz, Texas, Kayla Coppedge and husband Cameron of Longview; great-great-grandchildren, Isabella, Blayze, Gabriella, & Maverick Coppedge; nephews, Dolan Krodell and wife Dianna of Pottsboro, Texas and much more extended family.
