Dorothy Evans Moser's Obituary
Dorothy was born to Bertie Mae Evans and William Grover Evans in McCaskill, Arkansas on Nov. 25, 1920. She was one of eleven siblings and spent her life making her family a priority. The family moved around a bit settling in East Texas. She graduated from White Oak High School eventually moving to Houston where she lived and raised her family the majority of her adult life.
Dottie loved to travel with her sisters and brothers. She enjoyed nature and spending time in the great outdoors, camping and hiking. Golfing was one of her greatest pleasures that she continued till her early 80's.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Frances Williams, Lisle Evans, Bill Evans, Norma Mitchell, Bettye Ray and Peggie Ramey.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Penny Rutledge and husband Mike, beloved grandsons ,Steven Fincher and Robert Fincher, cherished great-grandson Christian Fincher. Siblings: Helen Mercer, Robert Evans, Jerry Evans and Patricia Arthur and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dottie went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 28, 2016. She is rejoicing in heaven with those family members that went before her and would want her loved ones not to mourn her passing but find comfort that she lived a full and vibrant life of 96 years. She would want them to remember the last thing she probably said to each she leaves behind...." I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!"
