Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Rutledge of Longview will be held at Noon Friday, August 10, 2007 at Calvary Christian Tabernacle, 301 E. Hawkins in Longview with Pastor A.D. Spears, and Ministers Charles Chargois, James Renfro, Jr., and grandsons Keith and Kurt Green officiating. Interment will be in Rosewood Park Cemetery in Longview under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday evening August 9, 2007 at the funeral home, 1617 Judson Rd. Mrs. Rutledge died Tuesday, August 7, at her home after a brief illness. She was born in Moberly, MO. on October 14, 1918 to William and Estelle Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ira M. Rutledge. Mrs. Rutledge is survived by her nine children: two sons, Ira T. Rutledge of Longview, Don and wife, Cindy Rutledge of Canton, TX; seven daughters, Irene and husband, Joe Willis of Forney, TX, Ruth Johnson of Springfield, MO., Dorothy and husband Billy Bond of Orange, Texas, Gay Nell and husband Fred Green of Longview, Betty and husband Billy Harper of Longview, Sharon Rutledge of Longview, Wanda and husband Charles Striegler of Longview. Mrs. Rutledge is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
