Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Luvell Compton Oliver, age 79, of Henderson will be held at 2:00pm Saturday May 5, 2007 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. Gerald Pepper and Rev.Olen
Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson
Mrs. Oliver passed away Thursday in a Kilgore nursing home.
She was born September 12, 1927 in Rusk County and was a lifelong resident of the county. She was a retired service representative the for the U.S. Social Security office. She had also worked for the Dept. of Defense.
Mrs. Oliver was a volunteer of the East Texas Hospice for 10 years.
She was a member of the New Salem Missionary Baptist and was very active in her church. She was also a licensed real estate agent.
She was preceded in death by her husband C.T. Oliver and her parents Hughes and Buna Compton.
Survivors include sons, Mike Oliver & wife Cathy, Jim Oliver & wife Sylvia all of Henderson, daughter Randy Jensen & husband Al of Spring, Texas, brother, Bill Compton & wife Beth of Longview. Grandchildren Jeremy Oliver of Henderson, Clint Oliver & wife Kasey of New Summerfield,
Greg Jensen of Spring Texas, and Michelle Lee & husband Brian of The
Woodlands, Texas. Great Grandchildren Shane Oliver, Ryan Oliver both of Henderson, and Paris Jensen of Waco.
Pallbearers will be Roland Christie, Lloyd Chamberlain, and her grandsons
Family visitation will be from 6:00 ? 8:00pm Friday at the Funeral Home
