Graveside services for Dorothy Lovelace Smith will be 10:00 am Friday, February 8th at the Hallsville Cemetery with Joe Hancock officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She was born August 15, 1916 to Ernest Lovelace and Connie Lawrence Lovelace. She married Robert Bob S. Smith in 1936. He preceded her in death August 20, 1996.
Dorothy graduated from Hallsville High School and went to B.M.I. Business School in Longview. She lived most of her life in Hallsville and worked for C.R. Anthony Company and the Longview National Bank. She was a member of the Hallsville Church of Christ.
Mrs. Smith is survived by one son Charles L. Smith and daughter-in-law, Laurie; two grandchildren, Bryan and Simone all of Minnesota. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, James "Bugs" and Betty Lovelace of Hallsville and a nephew, Gary Lovelace of Hallsville.
