I have just read of Mrs. Hoover's passing. Mrs. Hoover will always have a special place in my heart. She shared a room with my mother in a Longview nursing center, and I always enjoyed visiting herr. She had wonderful stories of her childhood in Trawick, the husband she so dearly loved, and the children in whom she was so proud. On occasion she even sang a few hymns for me. Although I saw her only a few times after my mother passed, I am thankful for the time we spent together and am confident that the Christ she loved carried her safely home. Betty, I just read your entry in my mother's guest book and it was good to hear from you. I have no idea when the last time we spoke or saw each other. I remember your parents as two very kind relatives to my brother and I. I visited them with my mother a few years back when they were in an assisted living center in Longview. I got to meet Jean at my mother's service. She came because she wanted to represent your mother at the funeral.
