Dorothy Bryan's Obituary
Funeral services for Dorothy Dot Hinson Bryan, 73, of Laneville will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Rader Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tommy Marshall and Rev. Mike Simpson officiating. Burial will be at the Laneville Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Bryan died Friday, March 11, 2011 in a Dallas hospital.
She was born August 28, 1937 in Bynum, Texas to William H. Bill and Myrtis Lee Ledbetter Hinson and had been a longtime resident of Laneville. She was a retired school teacher, graduating from Stephen F. Austin University with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education. She was a member of the Rusk County Retired Teachers, Texas State Retired Teachers, Women's Forum, and a board member and teacher for the Christian Womens Job Corp. She was a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Laneville where she taught Sunday School.
Preceding her in death are her mother and a daughter, Lori Elizabeth Bryan.
Surviving is her husband of 55 years, James Donald Bryan of Laneville; sons, Greg Bryan and wife Mary of Mesquite, Tod Bryan and wife Jennifer of Longview, and Lance Bryan and wife Lynn of Allen; father, William H. Bill Hinson of Henderson; grandchildren; Rachel Bryan, Scott Bryan, Molly Bryan, Sara Bryan, Kyle Bryan, Lori Bryan, Logan Bryan, and Nick Strobel.
Pallbearers will be James Paul Shipp, Jim Mayo, Scott Bryan, Billy Todd Bryan, Tommy Thompson, Tom Dumas, Dean Bradbury, and Mario Cavazos.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
