Graveside services for Dorothy Christine Brooks, 93, of Longview will be held at the Cedar Hills Cemetery in Vicksburg, MS on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 10 am. The family will receive friends at Fisher Funeral Home in Vicksburg from 4 to 6 pm Sunday. Mrs. Brooks passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2014 in Longview.
Mrs. Brooks was born in Vicksburg, MS to Solly and Christine Buck on May 3, 1921. She is preceded in death by her husband John Aubra Brooks, Sr.; sisters Amelia Mincey, Natalee Brownlee; and granddaughter Casey Brooks.
She is survived by her sons Kenneth Brooks of Longview; Butch Brooks of Longview; daughter Dottie Murray of Shreveport; sister Elizabeth King Grandberry, TX; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
