Funeral services for Dorothy R. Cave, 81, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Monday, October 14, 2002, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverends Dan Miller and Weldon Rives officiating. Entombment will follow at the Grace Hill Mausoleum. She passed away Friday morning, October 11, in a Longview hospital. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 PM Sunday, October 13, at the funeral home. Mrs. Cave was born March 9, 1921 in Rotan, Texas to Alfred and Della Mae Rives, and had been a resident of Longview since 1950. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Longview. Mrs. Cave was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dr. Walter Cave, and son, Terry W. Cave. Survivors include her daughter, Connie C Green of Louisville, KY,; Grandchildren, Christopher Eric Walker and Megan Marie Bischoff; Great Granddaughter, Kayla Marie Bischoff; Sisters, Elizabeth Mills and Empress Adams both of Kermit, TX., and Ruby Bailey of Denver, CO.; Brothers, Billy Rives of Odessa, TX. and Reverend Weldon Rives of Borger, TX.; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gregg North Unit, P.O. Box 906, Longview, TS. 75606.
