Funeral services for Doris Leath Farnell, 85, of Longview will be held at Two O?clock pm Saturday January 6, 2007 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road with Reverend Don Dodge officiating. Burial will follow in Summerfield Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Farnell passed away Wednesday January 3, 2007 in Longview.
She was born November 2, 1921 in Longview, Texas to Cole and Nora Thomas Leath. She was a homemaker and a member of the Summerfield United Methodist Church where she was head of the Nursery and the children affectionately known as ?MIMI?.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lenora and Jim Amos of Longview; grandchildren, Angela Amos Jones and husband James, Alan Amos also of Longview; great grandchildren, Julianna and Jace Jones, brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Darlene Leath of Ore City; sisters-in-law, Andree Leath of Bel Air, Md; Mattie Craig of Henderson and Gladys Phillips of LaPorte, Tx.; brother-in-law, Johnny Strong of Henderson and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 7 pm until 8:30 pm.
