D. H. ''Swede'' Aldridge
Funeral services for D. H. ''Swede'' Aldridge, 82, of Longview, will be 10 AM Saturday at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Hoefner officiating. Cremation will be arranged by Rader Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 7 until 9 PM.
Mr. Aldridge died Wednesday, January 16, 2002 in a local hospital.
He was born December 29, 1919 in Trigg County, Kentucky and was a longtime Longview resident. He was a retired painting contractor and a member of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Longview; Daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Jeff Strong of Harleton, Betsy and Joe Webb of Longview, and Doris and Earnest Garibar of San Antonio; Sons and daughters-in-law, Harris and Linda Aldridge of Grand Prairie, Bill and Tinker Aldridge of White Oak, Gordon and Santa Aldridge of San Antonio, Larry and Kathy Aldridge of Longview and John and Deborah Aldridge of Lake Cherokee; 13 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; Brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Barbara Aldridge of Clarksville, Tennessee and Douglas and Inez Aldridge of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; Sisters and brother-in-law, Dale Hite of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Effie Adams of Cadiz, Kentucky and Mae and Mark Ladd of Cadiz, Kentucky; and a number of nieces and nephews;
