I was saddened to learn of the death of "Mrs. Jenkins" your mom. The names of our childhood still hold true! What a wonderful lifetime of memories to have, though. So much of my childhood is framed by the families I grew up with at Oakland Heights -- from Sunday School and children's choirs to our youth choir and trips. Mother and Daddy kept me relatively up to date on the major events of your lives over the years. I know the coming "firsts" will be sad, but sweet, with memories. My thoughts will be with you in the coming months.

Doris was everything a friend should be--kind, loving, generous -- and she was so aware of the interests and problems of others. We loved our years as neighbors to Doris and Eldoras--watching Becca and Jeanna grow up,and then sharing their pride and joy in the three beautiful granddaughters. Duane always appreciated her talents and encouragement. All of us will miss her, but our memories will make us better people.
