Funeral services for Dora Delia Wireman, 74, of White Oak will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Pastor Eddie Scott officiating. Additional services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, March 23 at the Salt Lick United Baptist Church in Waldo, KY. Burial will follow in the Wireman Family Cemetery in Waldo under the direction of Magoffin County Funeral Home, 118 Parkway Dr., Salyersville, KY.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 18, at Rader Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wireman was born November 12, 1938 in Brownsville, TX to Domingo and Antonia Zapata and had been a resident of the Longview area since 1970. She was a retired ESL Teacher with Kilgore College and a member of the Stillwaters Worship Center in Liberty City, TX.
Dora was a woman of Faith and a Prayer Warrior. She was involved in various Prayer Groups.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Arvel Alan Wireman.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 43 years, Brunie Wireman of White Oak; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Stacy Whittington of Longview; 3 grandchildren, Logan Goodwin, Aven Whittington and Gentry Whittington; brother, Arturo Zapata and his wife Raquel of Longview; aunt, Merced Pena of Brownsville, TX; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gregg North Unit, P.O. Box 906, Longview, TX 75606.
