Donna Nell VanWinkle's Obituary
Donna Nell Allen VanWinkle, 88, of 101 Ridgeway, Daingerfield, Texas, passed away on July 27, 2023. Donna was born at home on May 11, 1935, in Ferris, Texas, to Harmon Leslie Allen and Joyce Isabelle Conn.
Donna was preceded in death by the love of her life, Glenn “Rip” VanWinkle, daughter, Vicki Hasselbach, sisters, Charlotte Blessing and Laverne Moore, brother, Ronnie Allen and brother-in-law Dick McGaughy. She is survived by her sister, Linda McGaughy, sons, Ronnie VanWinkle (Kathi) Robert Hughes (Lil) and Charlie VanWinkle (Theresa) and daughter, Elaine Rogers. Grandchildren, Jeremi, Ashli, Donna, Chelsie, Amber, Melissa, Charlotte, and Lucas, 16 great grandchildren and 2 precious great, great grandchildren, beloved brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Donna loved family time more than anything. She spent spare time reading western novels.
The world will not be the same without her in it. We love you!!
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 30, from 5-7 PM at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. A service to honor her life will be Monday, July 31 at 10AM in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with burial to follow at Noonday Cemetery in Hallsville.
