Donna Jo Brown Nieman's Obituary
Donna Jo Brown Nieman, 63, of Longview passed from this life to her eternal home on Tuesday, August 24, 2010. A celebration of life will be at 2 PM Friday, August 27, 2010, at Little Flock Baptist Church in Longview with the Rev. John Sullens and the Rev. Ted White officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Park Mausoleum. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Donna was born on October 15, 1946 in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of L.D. and Frances Brown. She graduated from Sharon High School and Morgan Business College in Martin, TN. On August 31, 1968, she was married to Bobby Nieman. Together they owned and operated Trailer Delivery Service. She was a faithful member of Little Flock Baptist Church and a member of Beta Sigma Phi.
Pallbearers will be Brian Simpson, Jerome Webb, Les Littleton, Durwood Worley, Kenny Waldron, and Lynn Akin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Glenn Elliott, Eddie Ray, Craig Worley, David Worley, Beau Carpenter, and Jodey Fleming.
She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Bobby on October 17, 2009; her father, L.D. Brown; and her sister, Elizabeth Worley.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Stacey Fleming and her husband Jodey Fleming; her granddaughters, Madison and Allissa, the light of her life; her mother, Frances Brown; brother, Danny Brown; brother-in-law, Durwood Worley; and sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Debbie Simpson; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Little Flock Baptist Church Building Fund, 14206 FM 968 W. Longview, Texas 75602; or the Scleroderma Foundation, attn: Donations, 300 Rosewood Drive Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
