Donald W. Johnston
Funeral services for Donald W. Johnston, 64, of Hallsville, will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at Little Flock Baptist Church, 14206 FM 968, with the Reverend Ted White and Bob Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday evening, April 15, 2002 at the funeral home. Mr. Johnston was born on April 26, 1937 in Richland County, Ohio to Edwin and Elma Johnston. He passed away Saturday morning, April 13, 2002 at his residence.
A resident of Hallsville since 1992, he was a welder and a member of the Little Flock Baptist Church.
A loving husband and father, Mr. Johnston was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Johnston of Hallsville, daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jeff Bridges of Virginia, son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Rebecca Johnston of Alvin, Texas, grandchildren, Michael Allen, Julia Allen, Holly Johnston, Amber Johnston, Brittany Johnston, three sisters, and two brothers.
