Funeral services for Donald Wayne Gunby, 58, of Longview will be held at Ten O?clock am Friday September 2, 2005 Rader Funeral Home Chapel 1617 Judson Road with Reverend Jace Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Gunby passed away Sunday August 28, 2005 in Carthage.
He was born June 21, 1947 in Sturgis, Mississippi and had lived in Longview
He was a Mechanic for Texas Utilities for 28 years and had served in the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Carol of Longview, children, Tommy Jack and Lisa Hooten of Ft. Polk, LA.; William and Cindy Hooten of Harleton, TX.; Stephen and Karin Gunby of Kilgore, TX.; Greg and Christie Modisette of White, Oak, TX.; Marcus and Melissa Gunby of Carthage, TX.; grandchildren, Cody Gunby of Kilgore, Carah Gunby of Kilgore, Courtney Bryant of Gladewater, Christopher Bryant of Kilgore, Carlie Modisette of White Oak, great grandchildren, Caden Bryant and Myah Gunby, sisters, Ann Laura, Bobby and Mary Elizabeth and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by parents Everett and Nobie Gunby and a brother, Everett Gunby of Longview
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday September 1, 2005 form 6pm until 8 pm.
