Donald Wayne Anderson's Obituary
Donald Wayne Anderson, 65, of Longview, Texas, departed this life for glory on Monday, September 3, 2012.
He was born May 30, 1947, in Charleston, South Carolina, the third of three sons born to Walter and Lillian Anderson.He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Walter William Anderson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kiyoko Anderson; his brother Wesley Anderson and wife, Jolene, of Longview; his son Andy Anderson, and wife Lisa, his daughter Connie Anderson, and his son Tony Anderson, all of Connecticut; his granddaughter Desirae Duran, his grandson Tyler Anderson, and his granddaughter Chloe Anderson.
Donald Anderson proudly served his country as a U.S. Army intelligence specialist during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a computer programmer, and lived in Hawaii, California, and for the last nine years, in Longview Texas.
Mr. Andersonwas a testimony to his Baptist faith, and found comfort and joy in songs celebrating Christ. His passion for music also included writing, singing, and strumming his guitar to the songs of the 50's and 60's.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012, at Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family requests memorials to New Beginnings Baptist Church, 2137 E.
