Donald Stanley Turner
Celebration of Life Services for Donald Stanley Turner, 83, of Longview will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Pastor Bong Hee Han officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park with military honors provided by Fort Hood, TX. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home
Mr. Turner was born March 10, 1933 in Kikapoo, IL to Furnard and Anna Turner and passed away May 6, 2016 in a Longview hospital. His amazing spirit will live on through everyone’s life that he touched.
Mr. Turner honorably served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. During this time, he found a profound love and passion for the Korean people as a young man. This passion became a devotion to his loving Korean wife of over 20 years. He was a faithful member of the Tyler Korean Baptist Church and loved all the members of the church.
Mr. Turner was a loving father and those left to cherish his memory are his six children and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.
